Collection: Lace Agate

Lace Agateis a type of chalcedony, a variety of quartz, known for its mesmerizing and intricate banding patterns. These patterns often resemble tangled laces or colorful swirls, hence its common name “Crazy Lace Agate”.

The intricate and colorful banding patterns that characterize Lace Agate are a result of the alternating layers of different minerals and silica that are deposited over time. These layers form concentric rings within the cavities. The colors and patterns can vary widely, depending on the specific minerals present in the silica-rich fluids, as well as impurities and trace elements.
